China's NWUN Delegation Visits TPM Biotech To Explore Halal Science Cooperation
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- A delegation from China's Northwest University of Nationalities (NWUN) has visited TPM Biotech Sdn Bhd, to explore bilateral cooperation on halal science practices and biotechnology opportunities between both countries.
Technology Park Malaysia Corporation Sdn Bhd in a statement Thursday said the six-member delegation led by NWUN's Vice-President Wang Zhaxi were given a presentation by TPM Corporate Communications on the available TPM Biotech facilities and services, its halal science laboratory and herbal manufacturing plant in Raub as well as on the TPM Group operations.
TPM President and Chief Executive Officer Azman Saidin said the NWUN visit yesterday presented an excellent international exposure for TPM Biotech, especially in China, as well as to further explore new business opportunities and avenues in the biotech and halal science collaboration.
"The visit of NWUN delegation is timely in view of the rapid expansion of trade and investment between China and Malaysia. We strongly believe that this visit would open the window of opportunity for us," he said.
Meanwhile, Wang Zhaxi said the visit to TPM Biotech was fruitful and an eye-opener for NWUN to explore the opportunity of closer cooperation and collaboration between both organisations.
"We are hopeful of establishing a common working relationship in the future not only with TPM Biotech but also with the group's other businesses," he said.
Since 2007, TPM Biotech has assisted over 1,800 biopreneurs and SMEs by providing the necessary production facilities and services; lab analyses; international standards and quality control as well as advisory halal services.
