Concerts of Symphonic Youth Orchestra
New York, December 03, 2009 (Khabar) - The first tour of the Symphonic Youth Orchestra of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy and folk orchestra "Turan" was a success in the United States. The orchestras performed in concert halls of Los Angeles and San Francisco in California and visited Boston and Washington. The artists performed "Romeo and Juliet" by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff's Second Concerto, Overture to Candide” and so beloved by Americans Bernstein The people applauded them very well. Success of the tour group was probably caused with participation of Kazakhstan's outstanding conductors, Kanat Omarov and Christophe Mangou from France. But the main star of the concerts was pianist Zhaniya Aubakirova.
Zhaniya Aubakirova, rector of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatoire:
- It was very large test for our students, it is so important that they have the opportunity to play really in the best halls in the world. Today all of them are so happy, because they are musicians at heart, they got enormous pleasure, they brought pleasure to the public. The realized like creative souls and it is the main.
The performance of folk orchestra "Turan" became a present for American music fans. The team, which was founded last year by a group of students of the National Conservatoire, performed the song "Kazakh Yeli" and "Kerogly" through which the public could feel the primordial beauty and power of music, sodden with energy of the Kazakh steppe.
