Crown Prince of Perlis Visits Thailand's Phang Nga Province

PHANG NGA (Southern Thailand), Jan 7 (Bernama) -- The Crown Prince of the the northern state of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, took part in the third series of a "Visit Programme" to the Andaman province of Thailand. The first and second series of the programme were held in Krabi and Phuket. The visit to Phang Nga province, includes among others, a get-together with the local people, is a curtain-raiser to this year's programme. During the visit, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin performed the Friday prayers at the Muttaqin Mosque, Yan Ta Kao, Trang here. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin and his youngest son Syed Sirajuddin Areeb Putra were received on arrival by Trang Province Islamic Religious Council president Nod Tu Dam and the mosque Imam, Rod Ma An. The annual programme of Tuanku Syed Faizuddin as the President of the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council is aimed at enhancing relationship and smart partnership in various fields for the advancement of Muslims in the region, in line with the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle programme. -- BERNAMA
