Dastan and German choir to give concerts in Dusseldorf, Cologne

TEHRAN,Sept.24(MNA) -- The Iranian traditional ensemble Dastan and WDR Radio Choir of Germany will be giving performances in the two German cities of Dusseldorf and Cologne on September 28 and 29 respectively. Austrian composer and musician Rupert Huber will be conducting the group in their performances, which will be improvisations on classical and Iranian musical instruments, member of Dastan ensemble Saeid Farajpuri told the Persian service of MNA on Monday. The first part of the concert has already been performed in Dortmund on September 12, added Farajpuri who is a kamancheh player. Farajpuri also said that the ensemble will next give performances in several cities across the United States. The band features Hamid Motabassem on tar and setar, Pejman Haddadi and Reza Samani on percussion, and Hossein Behruzinia on oud.
