Date set to announce award winners

08 : 52 PM - 19/02/2017 Manama, Feb. 19(BNA): A ceremony will be held on March 2 to announce the winners of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka's Award for Productive Families. The event will be held under the patronage of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President. The Labour and Social Development Ministry will organize the ceremony at the Sharifa Al-Awadhi Children and Youth Club in Riffa. A total of 180 participants from Bahrain will vie for the award, in addition to 12 other contenders from the GCC and Arab countries. The Arab countries will also take part in in the exhibition which will be held on the sidelines of the ceremony. Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan paid tribute to HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa for patronizing the ceremony. In a statement today, he underscored the importance of the award which aims at encouraging and motivating low-income families to secure an extra source of income.
