Development of national Navy
Aktau, December 02, 2009, Khabar - Kazakhstan intends to pay particular attention to the development of the naval forces during the next years. Currently, the Navy in the regional command of the Armed Forces "West" successfully solves combat tasks, provides the integrity of state borders and territorial integrity in the sector of the Caspian Sea. Almost 600 young men took an oath in the military unit of marines of the Caspian Sea. Main event in the life of every military man was preceded with a month of military training hwere marines were taught the basics of military affairs, the basics of unarmed combat, and most importantly, were explained the tasks assigned to the elite troops of the Navy.
Askar Nurgaliyev, deputy governor of Mangystau region:
- Special economic interests that exist in the Caspian Sea are all oil, gas. And hydrocarbons made it a point of attraction of a great many interests. Our Caspian Sea, our bank must be very secure.
The military unit was created in 2004 on the basis of 2 separate motorized infantry brigade. Fighting equipment, special equipment for training, new academic buildings and the barracks, all conditions are created here. And success of marines in the command and staff exercises, which are held by regional command “West” and the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan proved they have the right to proudly wear the black berets.
Recent exercises of sailors in the Caspian Sea were held in late November. Crews worked through the various contingency situations, conducted sonar studies of the seabed of the Caspian Sea. Every year, the Naval forces of Kazakhstan conduct 20-30 routine exercises. This marine shooting is like the final stage of the year. Sailors proved they are ready to defend the frontiers of our country.
Zhandarbek Zhanzakov, commander of Naval Forces of RK, 1 rank captain:
- There are no any problems. Therefore, the readiness of the crew is much better. In 2010, we set the task to sail about one hundred days per year. This is a good tension for the crew. The more ship sails in the sea, the better crew works.
Today, native Navy is a small unit., A separate division of different vehicles is based in Bautino Bay near Aktau. It consists of hydrographic vessels and patrol vessels, which were received in 2006 from South Korea according to cooperation program.
The sailors plan to purchase more warships, to continue equipping of combat ships. In addition, a concept of building of Navy until 2015 is elaborated. Its implementation will be a new stage in the development of the fleet in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea.
