Development of the state language
Karaganda, January 20, 2009, Khabar – Second stage of the republican campaign “Kazaksha Soileseik” “Let’s Speak in Kazakh language” has started in Karaganda. The main objective of this project is promoting the state language as a mean of interethnic communication. Young people think this will increase the public role of Kazakh language and greatly expand spheres of its using. Student of Humanitarian College Rusana Tashuhadzhiyeva speaks in the official language speaks fluently. She studied in the Kazakh school. She is the winner of numerous competitions on knowledge of state language and she dreams of becoming a teacher of the Kazakh language.
Rusana Tashuhadzhieva, college student:
- We need concrete results. For example, we can try to teach the history in the Kazakh language at the Russian school. It is necessary to change the minds of young people in relation to the state language. Only then we will have the result.
Nurlan Uteshev, executive secretary of “Zhas Otan” youth wing:
- There are some people in every region and district who manuals and promote them. But I believe that much depends on consumers. If they are not interested, then it will not do. Our task, the task of “Zhas Otan” is to make it interesting for young people that it has become fashionable. Speak in Kazakh, it is fashionable.
