Disabled Will Be Allowed To Take Jakarta Civil Servant Test

Jakarta, Sep 19 (Antara) - The Jakarta provincial administration civil servant enrollment test (CPNS) will also provide an opportunity for applicants with special needs or disabilities. "So, in addition to the opportunities offered to general applicants, we are also providing opportunities to disabled residents, who aspire to serve as Jakarta civil servants," the Jakarta Employment Agency I Made Karmayoga said here on Thursday. He further revealed that seven positions had been opened up for applicants with disabilities during this year`s civil servant enrollment test. "There are seven positions open for disabled applicants this year. We are still discussing further measures related to the implementation of the test format, considering the necessary tools that will be needed by such candidates, which are different from general applicants," he said. He also explained that the test for the physically challenged applicants will be held simultaneously as general applicants. However, the locations will be different, considering the special measures needed for testing the former. "The disabled applicants also need to submit required paperwork that is different from the general applicants," he pointed out. Karmayoga explained that the paperwork required for disabled applicants was their ID Cards and diploma, whereas general applicants were required to submit ID Cards, diplomas, transcripts and TOEFL scores with a minimum score of 400. "Not only that, the disabled applicants do not need to submit the TOEFL scores and are not subject to the minimum requirements for a grade points average (GPA)," he stated. The seven positions, which are open for the physically challenged applicants are an extension of the Family Planning (KB) program. They include positions in computer administration, of a public administrator, computer operator, cultural official, legislation designer and librarian.
