Discussion of National unity doctrine
Almaty, December 03, 2009 (Khabar) - The first session of a special working commission on the completion of the National unity doctrine of Kazakhstan has been held at the Kazakh Institute for Strategic Studies in Almaty. According to the forum speakers, we live in crucial times, where the final transition from the post-Soviet to the national state is taking place. And this doctrine is the document which is believed to be a single guideline for the further development of the country.
Sergey Diyachenko, Majilis deputy chairman, Parliament of Kazakhstan:
- It is necessary to pay attention to the fact that the future of Kazakhstan is inseparably linked with the development of the state language as one of the fundamental elements of the united nation of Kazakhstan and to note the special historical role of Kazakh people as the nation with a tolerant and open culture for innovation. It is also necessary to give a clear-cut and detailed wording to terms used in the document as well as to systematize the order of these terms in the doctrine’s text.
The special working commission which is headed by the deputy chairman of the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov has been created for the doctrine’s completion.
Yeraly Tugzhanov, chairman of the working committee:
- Today we have experienced a stormy debate. Formulation of a single instrument is impossible without reflection, which is submitted for discussion.
Garifolla Yessim, Senate deputy:
- We will arrive at the substantive text of the national doctrine, and we will take it on the eve of the 20 anniversary of independence. We have matured. We must sum up our traversed path and set goals and objectives for the future.
