Egyptian Ambassador: Campaign "Egypt in our Hearts" the UAE embodiment of genuine Arab solidarity

Abu Dhabi, July 18, 2013 (WAM) - Tamer Mansour, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the UAE has offered sincere thanks and appreciation to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his directives to the Red Crescent Authority to launch the campaign "Egypt in our Hearts" starting today, which aims to support Egyptian people in difficult economic conditions experienced during the current transitional phase. He said in a statement that the campaign embodied a genuine and sincere demonstration of Arab solidarity in times of distress and a living example of what connects the two brotherly peoples in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, being sincere friendship and historical ties, with love and appreciation and common interests and destiny. He noted that the campaign is a continuation of the wise UAE leadership's position in supporting and sustaining the Egyptian people after the revolution of June 30th when the UAE sent a delegation of Arab and foreign investors to provide high-level political and moral support, becoming closely acquainted with the urgent demands of the Egyptian economy and providing three billion dollars in support of Egypt in addition to half a billion dollars to buy fuel. Stressing that the UAE leadership were lauded for preserving the historical relations and ties, Tamer Mansour said that the Egyptian people welcomed the "Egypt in our Hearts" campaign, which confirmed the truth that the people of the UAE hold great feelings of love and affection for Egypt, and stand next to them in difficult times.
