Eight Die, over 20 Injured in Bus Accident in Western Thai Province

KANCHANABURI, Oct 25 (TNA) - At least eight holidaymakers died and more than 20 injured on Sunday when a tour bus lost its control on a hill just before arriving Sri Nakarind Dam in the western province of Kanchanaburi bordering Myanmar, police said. The incident occurred at about 10.00 a.m. when the air-conditioned tour bus carrying passengers who were celebrating their three-day holidays lost its control on the hill in Si Sawat district, police said. Five men and three women died at the scene while more than 20 persons injured and were sent to three hospitals in the province for treatment, police said. Police said that they were investigating whether the accident was caused by malfunction of the car engine or the driver did not know the route well.(TNA)
