Ejei: Islamic nations justice systems should prosecute those behind sacrilege to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)
Tehran, Sept 18, IRNA -- Iran's Judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei said on Monday that those behind sacrilege to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) should be put on trial by the justice systems of the Islamic nations.
Judiciary systems in Islamic countries should show timely reaction to sacrilege of the holy prophet of Islam and take legal action against the perpetrators, he said.
Speaking to reporters on his weekly press briefing, he said that the Zionists and Americans have committed the most stupid job by making such blasphemous anti-Islam movie.
"If the US and Zionist regime claim that they are not involved in the heinous move, they should bring to justice the real perpetrators," he said.
The country's prosecutor general also said they have committed such a crime to hurt the sentiments of over one billion Muslims and freedom-seekers.
The felony is punishable by international law and it is expected that the prosecutors general of the Islamic countries to take legal and timely action against the criminals, he said.
"The international relations department of Iran's judiciary and the human rights commission are pursuing the case."
