EPA's Abdulla Mohd Tayeb Khoory elected VP of Federation of Inter-Asian Philately

Abu Dhabi, Aug 14, 2013 (WAM) - The Emirates Philatelic Association (EPA) participants in the World Stamp Exhibition (Thailand 2013) won a number of laurels for their entries.
Exhibitors from 60 countries came to attend the show, which held in Bangkok, Thailand from 2- 8 August.
Ahmad Bin Eisa Alserkal won Gold medal for his exhibit "A Postal History Study of Airmail from Iraq 1919-1945" and Large Vermeil medal for "Abu Dhabi Stamps 1963-1973". Khalid Ali Al Omaira won Vermeil medal for "Improvement of Postal Service in Sharjah". EPA young member Eisa Bin Ahmad Alserkal won Vermeil medals for his exhibit "Dubai Errors and Verities. Nasser Bin Ahmad Alserkal won Vermeil medal for "Sharjah Postal History" and Silver Medal for his literature class entry of "Stamp Collecting a New Vision". Ummer Farook won Silver medal for "Mahatma Gandhi" and Majed Jaber Ali won Bronze Medal for his exhibit "The Horse".
Ali Abdulrahman Ahmad was a National Commissioner and Muhammad Javaid was Assistant Commissioner from the United Arab Emirates.
EPA current President Abdulla Mohd Tayeb Khoory elected as a Vice President of Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP) during the 19th FIAP Congress held in Bangkok.
These achievements have enhanced the UAE's prestige in the world of philately. It is a great honour for the country to achieve these successes, the EPA said in a statement. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
