Eurasian National University collected many gold students
Astana, August 26, 2009 (Khabar) - It has collected the maximum number of “Altyn belgi” mark of distinction holders amounting to 500 university entrants and thereby took the lead over all the higher education institutions of the country. Mira Serikkyzy was born in China. However, she dreamt of returning to Kazakhstan, her ancestors’ homeland and becoming a famous mathematician since her childhood. The words of the Kazakhstan’s constitution about every person having the right for receiving free education became guiding for her. Her dreams started coming true as just before Constitution Day she got to know that she received a scholarship for studying at the Gumilyov Eurasian National University and that she will receive Kazakhstani citizenship by the end of the year.

- The right for education is the freedom of actions. Our dreams come true thanks to the constitution. I will be engaged in a scientific activity now and I hope to contribute to the development of the country.
Ziyabek Kabuldinov, the professor-historian and the dean of the social sciences department of the Eurasian National University returned to his historical homeland from Russia in the 90s. He witnessed the formation of the independent Kazakhstan and discoveries made in science which brought his home university fame far outside the country.

- In my opinion, the constitution of the independent Kazakhstan influenced the development of science and education in the most positive way. The post-graduate researcher in chemical sciences and former dean of the natural sciences department Rakhmadiyeva invented an anti-cancer medicine called Sudien. At present, it has been tested and approved in Kazakhstan and launched for mass production. Such mathematician as Ualibay Ualibayevich is well-known around the world. He was awarded with a famous mathematical prize which is awarded once in three years.
