Foreign Minister meets with Foreign Minister of Solomon Islands

New York, Sept. 21 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today at the United Nations headquarters in New York with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Solomon Islands, Jeremiah Manele, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly. They discussed bilateral cooperation and ways of enhancing it at all levels to serve mutual interest, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common concern. They also signed a joint statement to establish diplomatic relations between the two countries. The meeting was attended by Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Jamal Faris Al-Rowaiei, and the delegation accompanying the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
