Fugitives arrested

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): A police raid carried out early this morning in Nuwaidrat resulted in the arrest of 20-year-old Ahmed Abdulmajeed Ahmed Habib, who had been charged with assaulting and injuring three policemen, Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science Director-General stated. He said another raid was carried out shortly afterwards resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Ahmed Maki Ahmed, who is involved in the aforementioned case, as well as harbouring 22-year-old Abdullah Hussain Ali Abdullah Al-Ajooz, a fugitive fleeing from jail, who was sentenced to life imprisonment on terror-related charges of attempted murder, premeditated murder and explosives making. The latter was injured while trying to escape the arrest. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. He added the Public Prosecution was notified and legal procedures are being taken prior to referring the arrested individuals to the Public Prosecution.
