The Governor Of Karbala Expects The Number Of Pilgrims Of Arbaeen Visit This Year Will Reach About 22 Million

Baghdad / NINA / - The Governor of the Holy Karbala, Nassif Al-Khattabi, confirmed that there are no road blocks in the governorate so far, noting that the Arbaeen visit is proceeding with a high flow, and it is likely that the number of pilgrims will reach about 22 million pilgrims. Al-Khattabi said in a televised statement that "the security and service plan for the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) started early, as the governorate began receiving millions of pilgrims a few days before the date of the visit," stressing that "there is a high flow and there are no road blocks so far in the governorate." He added, "There is coordination and cooperation between all agencies, institutions and governorates in order to make this visit a success," noting that "14,000 bodies and a Husseini convoy entered the governorate." He explained that "about 3 million foreign pilgrims entered the governorate, and we expect it will reach more than 6 million foreign pilgrims by the time of the visit," adding that "the number of pilgrims this year will reach 22 million from inside and outside Iraq./ End
