HH Shaikh Nasser praises WHO's role in fighting pandemic

Manama, Aug. 16 (BNA): HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has commended the prominent efforts being exerted by the World Health Organisation (WHO) at all levels, especially in combating the novel Coronavirus pandemic. HH Shaikh Nasser was speaking as he received here today WHO Representative and Head of Office in Bahrain, Dr Tasnim Atatrah, in the presence of the Foreign Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. HH Shaikh Nasser congratulated Dr. Tasnim Atatrah on her appointment to her post, wishing her every success. He also praised the effective role played by WHO in fighting the pandemic. Dr. Atatrah expressed thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser for the audience, affirming her keenness to project the kingdom’s advanced image in combating the pandemic, setting the best examples in dedication and outperforming many countries in this field. She wished Bahrain ever-lasting progress and prosperity.
