Higher Education Secretary General receives outgoing Philippines Ambassador

Manama, Aug. 23 (BNA): Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council and Vice-Chairm of the Board of Trustees of Higher Education Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa received the outgoing Philippines Ambassador to Bahrain Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver. The secretary-general expressed her appreciation of the ambassador's efforts in developing relations between Bahrain and Philippines at all levels. She also expressed her aspiration to develop cooperation between higher education institutions in the two countries, in order to support their efforts to advance the educational system and improve its outputs, engage on a larger scale in the fields of future sciences, and better qualify students to face various challenges. The ambassador expressed his happiness to serve as his country's envoy to Bahrain, expressing his appreciation for the support and cooperation he received from all officials, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
