HRH Princess Sabeeka praises Bahrain's artistic movement

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), today patronised the opening of the joint fine art exhibition of Mariam Fakhro and Khalid Farhan, held at the Art Centre, in the presence of the President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa. HRH Princess Sabeeka lauded the holding of artistic expos in the kingdom, which reflects the taste of the society, and highlights Bahrain's distinguished presence as a cultural platform in the GCC and Arab region. HRH Princess Sabeeka expressed admiration for the displayed artistic works, and voiced pride in the advanced level reached by the artistic movement in the kingdom as it matches its international counterpart in terms of modernity while adhering to the specificity and distinction of the Bahrain school of art. Princess Sabeeka toured the exhibition which is held on the sidelines of the Spring of Culture Festival 2017 themed "If Our Monuments Could Speak". She was briefed by the participating artists about the expo and the messages conveyed by the paintings.
