Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The people in the DPRK are recalling with deep emotion the immortal feats performed by leader Kim Jong Il in the last year of his revolutionary career on the threshold of the 5th anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il. In January Juche 100 (2011), Kim Jong Il visited the Nampho Glass Bottle Factory and called upon its officials, workers and technicians to continue to give fullest play to their patriotism and spirit of loving the people, stressing that the duty of the factory is very important in improving the people's standard of living and hastening the country's economic construction. Since then, he gave field guidance to a number of units. Going round the Sinam Co-op Farm in Ryongchon County of North Phyongan Province and Tongbong Co-op Farm in Hamju County of South Hamgyong Province, he inspired farmers to keep taking the lead in grain production. Thanks to his field guidance to industrial units like the Bioengineering Branch of the State Academy of Sciences and Rakwon Machine Complex, the whole country could be seethed with a drive of breaking through the cutting edge to further consolidate the foundation for building a thriving nation. Even on December 15, two days before his demise, he visited the Hana Musical Information Centre and Kwangbok Area Supermarket to give instructions for the improvement of people's living.
