Iran-India Academic Ties Grow Every Day: Iran

New Delhi, May 4, IRNA – The academic relations between Iran and India may grow every day such as our thousands year old cultural relations, said Dr. Ali Azam Khosravi, Thursday in New Delhi. On the occasion of Iran’s National Teacher’s Day, Research Counselor at the Embassy of Iran in New Delhi, stated this in his message sent to around 200 Indian teachers under whom Iranian students were completing their PhD. Iran celebrated National Teacherˈs day, commemorating the martyrdom of Ayatollah Morteza Motahari, the great philosopher and contemporary thinker of Iran. His work, dedication and wisdom continue to inspire generation after generation. Khosravi said: ˈAs you are an honorable supervisor/co-supervisor of Iranian students of their PhD program, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate your good self for the day. I hope, with your supervision they will complete the worthy research successfully and return to Iran to serve Iranian nationals in the same manner”. “You are not only their teacher but your moral character and conduct will motivate them to mend their character and prepare themselves to face larger challenges of life. Thus all of you are their mentor,” noted Iranian diplomat. Khosravi hoped that Indian teachers continued academic relationship with the Iranian students, even after the completion of their PhD. degree, will further strengthen academic ties between the two friendly nations, Iran and India./end
