Iran-Syria Stress Expansion Of Medical Co-op

Tehran, May 20, IRNA - - Minister of Health and Medical Education Marziye Vahid Dastjerdi and her Syrian counterpart Sa'id Vazir on Saturday underlined expansion of Tehran-Damascus cooperation in the field of health and medication. Vahid Dastjerdi in a meeting with Vazir in Tehran expressed happiness with the progress made in restoration of peace and calm to Syria and described the new situation there as a great achievement for Syria and the region. Dastjerdi expressed hope for further promotion of bilateral ties and cooperation and vowed she would do his best in this regard during her term in office. Vazir, for his part, described ás deeply-rooted the two countries ties and said Iranians have always stood by the Syrians. Pointing to Iran's advanced situation in the field of medicine and healthcare, he said Syrians are honored to be friends of Iranians./end
