Baghdad / NINA / - The newspapers issued in Baghdad on Monday, the 26th of September, continued to follow the political moves to bring views closer and hold the parliament session... and the position of independent MPs. Al-Zawraa newspaper, which is issued by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, indicated, in its follow-up to the movements and communications of the political forces, that the MP of the Al-Fateh alliance, member of the coordination framework, Muhammad Karim Al-Baldawi said: “Contacts, communication and meetings are continuing between the forces of the framework, and discussions are permanent in the affairs of the framework of the political process aims to find mechanisms to bring views closer and deal with what is happening in the international arena." And regarding the resumption of parliament sessions, Al-Baldawi stressed: "This issue was discussed and raised in the past sessions for the leaders of the framework, and there are mechanisms that the framework tries to rely on from a constitutional and legal point of view that provide the atmosphere and political climate within the sessions of the House of Representatives." Regarding the work of the Tripartite Committee, he pointed out: “This issue is just talk that has no clear impact on the ground, and so far we are waiting for there to be an atmosphere and for there to be an atmosphere that allows for such meetings and initiatives,” noting that there are initiatives put forward by the representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations and an initiative put forward to hold the third round of meetings between the political blocs by the Prime Minister. He added: "The framework, as well as the rest of the political forces, both Kurdish and Sunni, opened their doors and began to put forward their visions to resolve this issue, except for the Sadrist Movement that did not put forward any initiative or continue, and this is not right, and the right thing under these circumstances, but it must be a language for dialogue and to give priority to the interests of the country and the citizen,” stressing that it is not possible to renew Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, and that it is a topic that has ended. In the same regard, Al-Zaman newspaper pointed out to the Kurdistan Democratic Party's assertion: "The postponement of the tripartite committee's visit to Al-Hanana does not mean its cancellation." It quoted the leader of the party, Mahdi Al-Faili, as saying: "The postponement of the visit was due to the Arbaeen visit, and the occasion of the anniversary of the death of the Prophet, and this does not mean that it was canceled or unreal." He stressed, "The course of things led to the postponement, and the visit is present and close." Al-Zaman also indicated to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi's assertion: "Any government that is formed without the participation of the head of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, will face huge challenges." It quoted Al-Kadhimi: "Iraq needs to distance itself from a past full of violence, towards a future based on dialogue. And everyone understands now, that any government that does not include Al-Sadr will face huge challenges." In a related matter, the newspaper stated: "The National Index for Democratic Transition showed that Iraq obtained an average of 3.9 degrees out of a total of ten degrees, as a result of the inability of forces and parties to form an elected government since more than 320 days after the holding of last October's elections." And it quoted a report prepared by elite academics and experts: “It is expected that Iraq will break a new record, but this is not necessarily something the country is proud of. Iraq is now without an elected government for more than 320 days since the last elections in October, because politicians cannot form a coalition. The report indicated: "The participation rate in last year's elections was the lowest ever, and the record drop in the participation rate of 43.5 %, according to official sources, clearly undermined parliamentary legitimacy, and the political blockage can be seen as a bad sign for democratic progress in the country, especially as it led to violence and local clashes in the parliament sit-in, in addition to the fact that none of the groups had any incentive to give up anything.” For its part, Al-Sabah newspaper, which is issued by the Iraqi Media Network, followed the position of the independent MPs regarding the contacts and movements taking place. The newspaper said: "Independent MPs renewed their rejection of the principle of relaying crises and refraining from providing superficial solutions to the current crisis." The independent MP, Sajjad Salem, said in an interview with Al-Sabah: The independent MPs are with a real achievement for change, especially in this period, moving away from superficial solutions and deporting and postponing the treatment of the current crises. He added: "The solutions offered by the political forces do not address the political problems, and that the current crisis is a comprehensive and general national crisis that needs national solutions, and these solutions are not limited to the forces of the coordination framework, but rather need the participation of all political and societal forces." He continued: "As independent MPs, we are not a party to political agreements, but we are looking at radical solutions to the political obstacles and problems facing the country and the political forces at this critical stage in Iraq's life."/ End
