Isfahan Hosting Cofab Titled ˈIran, Malaysia Experience In Islamic Architectureˈ

Isfahan, March 5, IRNA – First International Congress titled ˈIran, Malaysia Experience in Islamic Architecture and Built Environmentˈ opened here in Arts University Monday. Organized within the frameworks of a deal signed by Isfahanˈs Arts University and International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), the two-day event will seek to provide an opportunity for exchange of views. Academic secretary of the congress, Afsaneh Nazeri said that cultural, religious and architectural commonalities between Iran and Malaysia paved the way for holding the event. Topics for discussion include green architecture, designing of sustainable housing, architecture of naturalistic housing, Islamic heritage and restoration, Islamic arts, infrastructure and facilities and architecture education, she said. A total of 100 articles have been submitted from Iran and Malaysia to the secretariat of the congress, of which 18 articles will be presented during the event, Nazeri added./end
