Kim Jong Il Remembered in Various Countries

Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- Meetings for remembering leader Kim Jong Il took place in Cambodia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Mongolia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Belarus, Germany, France, Spain, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Congo, Algeria, Uganda, Angola and Ecuador between Dec. 5 and 17 on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of his demise. On display at their venues were photos showing the feats of Kim Jong Il and respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and works of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing the struggle of the Korean army and people. Present at the meetings were personages and popular masses from different walks of life in those countries. They said that Kim Jong Il was the great man who performed undying exploits for the happiness of the Korean people and prosperity of the country and the cause of global independence. There are not a few great persons in the world history of politics who made contributions to mankind, but no one could match him, they stressed. A message and a letter to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings held in Pakistan and Spain. -0-
