Laser-based Sapling Processing Device Developed in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Laser-based sapling processing device was developed by the High-Tech Institute of Kim Il Sung University. It helps drastically improve physiological condition of saplings and raise their rooting rate. Rooting rate of various species of saplings, processed with laser, increased 1.5 to 1.8 times more than before. The processed saplings are highly resistant to virus. According to Choe Sang Jin, a section chief of the institute, the device costs much lower than foreign-made ones and is easily applicable, powered by 12-voltage battery. -0-
