MACC Determined To Continue Fighting Corruption Under Sultan Muhammad V's Rule

PUTRAJAYA, April 26 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in congratulating Sultan Muhammad V on his installation as the 15th Malaysia’s King, Yang di-Pertuan Agong has pledged to redouble their efforts in combating fraud, corruption and abuse of power and to bring those involved to justice. MACC chief commissioner Dzulkifli Ahmadi on behalf of everyone in the MACC, in a statement, Tuesday said the commission was confident that with the installation of His Majesty, implementation of government policies in ensuring a corrupt-free administration would be strengthened in promoting the people’s welfare and supporting national development. “The MACC is determined to continue to shoulder the responsibility of fighting corruption and abuse of power to ensure that the government continues to thrive and be highly respected," he said. "We, the employees of MACC wish His Majesty a long life and and may Allah’s blessing be upon you always, he said. Sultan Muhammad V, 47, was installed as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Monday to replace the Sultan of Kedah, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah whose term as the 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong ended on Dec12, 2016. -- BERNAMA
