Malaysia: Wahana Wanita4U, Arra Korea Group Sign Mou To Channel Info On Women

PUTRAJAYA (Malaysia), March 22 (Bernama) -- Radio Wanita4U.FM received contributions in funds and technology expertise from two South Korean companies to channel programmes on the development of women via an online radio station, specially for women. The radio station operator, Wahana Wanita4U Bhd on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Arra Korea Group Sdn Bhd and Arra Korea Group & Consortium Companies Korea, witnessed by Women, Family and Community Development Minister Rohani Abdul Karim. Rohani said the news distribution would be made via two special segments in a week, that is every Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 3pm, by promoting initiatives introduced by the ministry for women in Malaysia. "I believe this can help the government in its efforts to enhance the national identity of women, thus elevating their role," she told reporters after the signing ceremony here Tuesday. The MoU was signed by Wahana Wanita4U founder-owner, Noraini Ishak and Arra Korea Group executive chairman Kim Dong Soo. Meanwhile, Noraini said Wanita4U.FM, operating since February 2014, had 30,000 listeners worldwide, and also analysed male issues. Under the agreement, she said Wahana Wanita4U would hold 55 per cent of shares in the company and the rest would be held by Arra Korea Group & Consortium Companies Korea, and Arra Korea Group Sdn Bhd.
