Matrade Appoints Mohd Shahreen As New CEO

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 31 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) has appointed Ir Dr Mohd Shahreen Zainooreen Madros as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective Feb 2. Succeeding Dzulkifli Mahmud who retired Tuesday, Shahreen, a Cambridge graduate, was an Executive Director at the Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC) prior to the appointment, said Matrade in a statement Tuesday. "Moving forward, it is imperative for Matrade to continue forging strategic partnerships with all relevant stakeholders, in both the private and public sectors such as the various ministries, agencies, trade associations, Chambers of Commerce and business councils. "This is to ensure Malaysia remains competitive on the global front," it said. -- BERNAMA
