Military officers receive housing

Taldykorgan, January 12, 2010 (Khabar) - Adilbek Zhaksybekov, Minister for Defence of RK personally inspected battle readiness and social supply of military men in Taldykorgan garrison. One more estate of newly built detached houses has appeared in Taldykorgan. The new housing was built for military officers serving in various armed forces divisions.

Sarkytbek Kazakbayev, military officer:
- Now, we can serve without worrying about our families because they have houses. Now, we can concentrate on the service, the protection of our people and our clear sky.

Asylbek Satvaldinov, deputy commander for weapons, Air Assault Brigade:
- Each military officer has a land site of 4 hundred square metres. The estate will soon see some weddings. We all live here and we are all neighbours.

Last year, new flats were given out to military officers from 6 garrisons as over 63 thousand square metres of housing was commissioned. According to the Defence Minister, the Ministry is now working on the improvement of military estates so they have all types of welfare services in them as experienced by many foreign countries.

Adilbek Zhaksybekov, Minister for Defence of RK:
- As you know, it all about providing assistance to military officers and the attention paid by the supreme commander-in-chief Nursultan Nazarbayev to such issues. He constantly supports the Republic’s armed forces. Despite the financial crisis, the armed forces budget is expanding annually.

This year, the Defence Ministry is planning to commission three multi-storey residential compounds in Astana, two in Aktau, Semei and Novo-Akhmirovo.
