Miss Tourism International Contestants Turn Heads At KLIA

SEPANG (Selangor, Malaysia), Dec 21 (Bernama) -- Acitivities at the KL International Airport (KLIA) departure hall took a 'pause' for few minutes Tuesday when many turned their heads to take a closer look as 60 contestants of the Miss Tourism International 2016 entered the airport. Clad in dresses with the sash bearing their respective country's name and wearing five-inch heels, the contestants who walked in two groups smiled and waved to the crowd at the airport as if they were on a beauty pageant stage. The contestants include representatives from Malaysia, Bolivia, Mexico, Panama, Peru and the United States of America and they carried the Jalur Gemilang (Malaysian national flag) and placards written 'Malaysia Truly Asia' and 'I Love Malaysia' throughout their visit in KLIA. Members of the public who were queing to check-in, waiting for their flights and having drinks at KLIA cafes did not miss the opportunity to take pictures of them and asking permission to take selfie photographs with the contestants. Besides visiting the shops at the KLIA departure level, the Miss Tourism International contestants also took the aerotrain and visited Sama-Sama Express Hotel at the satellite building. Miss Denmark, Grace Gardner, 19, said she was impressed with KLIA which had beautiful view with forest landscape and water fountain in the airport. "The cafes in this airport is very classy, nice and hygienic. People here are warm too," she added. The Miss Tourism International 2016 World Final will be held in Putrajaya on new year's eve.
