Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment distributes stationary to underprivileged students

Dubai: The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, has started the distribution of stationary as the first in a series of projects of its recently-launched programme known as "With Education We Progress" which aims to support for underprivileged students in the UAE. Counsellor Ibrahim Bu Melha, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Establishment, said eligible students from fixed-income families will receive vouchers to buy their stationary from the braches of Dubai Library Distributors. This is the sixth time the charity has run this support project to help students, Bu Melha said noting that so far, 5750 vouchers worth Dh1,725,000 have been were given out to targeted families, the official said. The charity's programme aims to support students, guardians and schools through the provision of education aid and resources needed in schools so as to discharge their duties fully. He added that the stationary project was upon an agreement between the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment and the Dubai Library Distributors. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
