He said: The media can become an element for establishing peace and strengthening solidarity and synergy among the peoples of the world and to be a supporter of truth and friendship, and at the same time it can be an element for spreading hatred, division and lies.
For his part, the Director-General of the Iranian IRNA Agency, "Ali Naderi," expressed in a speech his hope to open a new page between the media and regional agencies during IRNA's assumption of the rotating presidency of the Organization of Asia -Pacific News Agencies.
Naderi said: We have different views on the establishment of an alliance between Asia and Pacific News Agencies (OANA), and we hope to achieve a specific goal and to open a new chapter in the field of media activities and media exchange between the media after controlling the Coronavirus outbreak and in conjunction with the developments the world is witnessing.
He added: It seems that the independent media can, through the establishment of the alliance among them, turn into an independent source to disseminate news and information to the peoples of the world in order to confront the flow of news in one direction.
