Police to summon suspects connected to flares lighting at top football match

BANGKOK, Dec 21 (TNA) - The National Police Chief affirmed that the police have already found out the suspects involved in the flares lighting incident during the AFF Suzuki Cup final on Saturday. National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Chakthip Chaijinda informed that authorities have already found out who the suspects were and would prosecute everyone involved accordingly, as they have damaged the country's image and reputation, noting that he has ordered the metropolitan police commissioner to closely follow up on the case. Commander of the Hua Mak Police Station Pol. Col. Sarayut Junnawat said investigative police have also interrogated the cleaners and the security guards once again, as well as examined the CCTV footage captured at the entrance of the stadium to compare the faces and descriptions of the suspects before double checking with the witnesses from the scene to ensure that they are the same persons. He said a meeting of the investigative team would be held at 2 pm today to summarise that names of suspects, who would be summoned for questioning. (TNA)
