Political Affairs Undersecretary discusses cooperation with UN Assistant Secretary-General for Middle East and Asia

New York, Sept. 23 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met the Assistant Secretary-General for the Middle East and Asia and the Pacific in the Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations at the United Nations, Khaled Al-Khiari, on the sidelines of the 77th session of UNGA. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs affirmed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to enhance cooperation and partnership with the United Nations in consolidating security, stability and peace in the Middle East and the world. The Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations praised the diplomatic approach of the Kingdom of Bahrain in laying the foundations for peace, tolerance and coexistence among nations and peoples, and its cooperation in combating extremism and terrorism, in support of sustainable development goals.
