Political Stability Allows Festivities To Be Feted Harmoniously - Malaysian State Chief Minister

SANDAKAN (Sabah, Malaysia), Jan 28 (Bernama) -- The existence of political stability and a harmonious populace enable every festivity in the country to be well celebrated. Sabah state Chief Minister Musa Aman said, in this regard, all the people should work together to preserve the situation which was crucial for national development. "I am happy to see the people who attend Chinese New Year (CNY) open houses comprising of different ethnic groups and religions to enliven the celebration of the festival. "This is what we prioritise, the existence of political stability and harmony which enable us to fete festivities well and in prosperity," he said when met by reporters here Saturday. Sabah Yang Dipertua Negeri (Head of State) Juhar Mahiruddin also attended. "Open house” a culture unique to Malaysia, is a concept where ─ during the various cultural and religious festivals such as Chinese New Year, Hari RayaPuasa (Eid Fitri), Deepavali and Christmas ─ friends, families and even strangers would visit the homes of those who are celebrating the festival, to wish them well and enjoy the feast prepared by their hosts. -- BERNAMA
