Pos Malaysia Bags Several Awards At E-Commerce Delivery Awards Night 2017
PUTRAJAYA, April 28 (Bernama) – Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia) bagged the 2016 Most Outstanding Achievement Award for its position as the leading postal operator at the 2017 E-Commerce Delivery Awards Night organised by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) here Thursday.
Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia Jailani Johari presented the awards to Pos Malaysia Group chief operating officer Mohd Shukri Mohd Salleh.
The company also bagged three other awards out of seven nominations, namely Best Rider and Driver, Best Courier Company and Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award via its Community Postman Programme in Kota Belud, Sabah in which all delivery was done by its staff on horses.
The recognition for the most outstanding achievement award was also based on the company’s excellent performance after it was awarded Level A-Star for Quality Management Certification at the 26th Universal Postal Union (UPU) Congress 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey in October last year.
The A-Star award given by the UPU was in recognition of POS Malaysia’s global excellence in applying quality management processes and delivering excellent service performances of its international mail products.
Earlier, Jailani in his speech said the award, organised in conjunction with the E-Commerce Delivery Awards Symposium 2017 in collaboration with the Association of Malaysian Express Carriers (AMEC), was aimed at appreciating courier companies or industry players which were the backbone of e-commerce services.
The award was part of ongoing efforts by MCMC to ensure the industry players would continue to give the best services to the people in the country.
Meanwhile, Freight Mark Malaysia Sdn Bhd was awarded with the Best Innovation Award as a recognition for its e-commerce delivery operations.
International courier company DHL Malaysia Sdn Bhd bagged the Best Customer Service Award while Nationwide Express Malaysia Sdn Bhd received the Best Delivery Performance Award.
