President Ahmadinejad Visits Javanfekr In Hospital

Tehran, Dec 23, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited his press advisor and IRNA chief Ali Akbar Javanfekr in a Tehran hospital Sunday. President Ahmadinejad wished prompt recovery for Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency. Meanwhile, the President was briefed on Javanfekr's latest physical condition by his physician. A number of top Iranian cultural, political officials as well as a group of IRNA staff visited Javanfekr in hospital on Saturday. Javanfekr was admitted to hospital on December 20 due to heart, kidneys and liver failure and experiencing pain in his spin. Javanfekr was arrested on September 26. Tehran Penal Court in November 2011 had sentenced Javanfekr to six months in prison on charges of publishing articles contrary to Islamic regulations and six more months in prison for unethical articles./end
