Prevention of religious extremism

Karaganda, September 10, 2009 (Khabar) - In Karaganda, representatives of Ministry of Culture, committee on religious affairs, religious unions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have discussed prevention of religious extremism. It was decided to take four principles of President Nursultan Nazarbayev as a basis of work in this direction. In particular, not to adhere to historical stereotypes, not to interfere into sacred spheres of activity of various religions and counteract satanic sects and extremist religious movements. Not only clerical men but also representatives of different NGOs must actively join this work. The main tasks are non acceptation of extremism since nursery schools and creating of equal conditions for development of all confessions and right interpretation of holy books.
