Primary Healthcare Centres, RCSI-Bahrain sign agreement

Manama, Sept. 30 (BNA): The Primary Healthcare Centres signed and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland-Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI-Bahrain) signed a cooperation agreement to support healthcare services. Under the deal, the Primary Healthcare Centres will provide their facilities for the purposes of education, training and scientific research for medical faculty professors. RCSI-Bahrain will also provide support services, including laboratories, libraries, diagnostic and therapeutic services. to primary healthcare centers. Health Minister Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayyid Jawad Hasan stressed efforts to consolidate public health services and build more partnerships with educational institutions. Primary Healthcare Centres Acting Chief Executive Officer Dr. Lulwa Rashid Showeiter said that the agreement would bolster cooperation with RCSI-Bahrain, a pioneering academic institution in the Arabian Gulf Region. She praised RCSI-Bahrain’s efforts to support the staff working in the primary healthcare sector, stressing commitment to enhance the standard of services. RCSI-Bahrain President Professor Sameer Otoom stressed strong partnership with the primary healthcare centres to achieve common goals, support services and keep abreast of future needs on medical studies and clinical research.
