Promising Coal Deposit Secured

Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- Recently, tens of millions of tons of coal deposit has been secured in the northern coalfields of South Phyongan Province, the DPRK. A group of the Geological Institute under the State Academy of Sciences proved in a scientific way the distribution state of deep coal measures through intensive study of the already developed coal mines and prospected coal deposits in the coalfields. Through the research, it was confirmed that the area has rich coal resources. -0-
