Qatar's MOPH Reports 690 New COVID-19 Cases, 1,606 Recoveries, 186,318 Total Recoveries

Doha, April 28 (QNA) - The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) reported today 690 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19). 554 of these were from community cases and 136 from travelers returning from abroad.
The MOPH recorded 1,606 recoveries from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 186,318.
The ministry announced four new deaths aged 44, 55, 55 and 100 years, one of those with chronic diseases, and received the necessary medical care.
The MOPH issued a statement on COVID-19 developments in Qatar, which said the following:
New Cases and Recoveries:
- 690 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were announced today. 554 of these are from community cases and 136 from travelers returning from abroad.
- 1,606 people have recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 186,318.
- In addition, the ministry announced four new deaths aged 44, 55, 55 and 100 years, one of those with chronic diseases, and received the necessary medical care.
National COVID-19 Vaccination Program Data:
- 1496833 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the program.
- 27200 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the past 24 hours.
- 42.2 percent of the eligible population has now received at least one dose of the vaccine.
- 85.2 percent of over 60s (the most vulnerable population group) have been vaccinated with at least one dose, while 73.7 percent have received both doses. (QNA)
