QFCHT Holds 1st Consultative Meeting
Doha, June 13 (QNA) - Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking (QFCHT) held here today its first consultative meeting on Qatar's national strategy for combating human trafficking with Strategic planning specialists from 27 governmental, non-governmental, and civil society concerned entities participating at the meeting to discussed various approaches and elements related to the strategy.
Member of QFCHT Board of Directors, Judge Hessa Al Sulaiti gave a speech on behalf of Dr. Abdullah Al Mal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of QFCHT where he noted to the grave challenges the human trafficking phenomenon is posing to the society.
He mentioned that the meeting will discuss a range of aspects and visions that would help enhance the national strategy of QFCHT for confronting this phenomenon.
He said that the gulf region could be vulnerable to any threats posed by human trafficking or its sequels.
Dr. Al Mal also called on exerting all the possible efforts to confront the faced threats, noting Qatar s expertise on this regards.
He said that Qatar s hosting to the Arab Initiative to combat human trafficking is the best example of the State s efforts to address this phenomenon.
