Regional governor reports on work done
Petropavlovsk, January, 12 2010 (Khabar) - In 2010, the North Kazakhstan regional administration is intending to pay more attention to village schools, road repairs and the lack of qualified staff. The regional governors have started their public reporting campaigns. The issue of nursery school shortages which was raised by the regions’ residents at the previous reporting meeting, can be considered as having been done this year as 21 nursery schools have already opened in the region since then. While at the meeting, the sides also noted the absence of a fully-operating Kazakh school. Answering people’s questions, the North Kazakhstan regional governor promised that all the problems people had mentioned would be solved. He also said the Road Map programme would be carried on.
Serik Bilyalov, North Kazakhstan regional governor:
- This year, we are planning to implement 138 projects under the Road Map programme with 4.8 billion tenge allocated to finance them. This is 300 million more than last year. In our region, 7 projects amounting to 130 million tenge will be implemented in 2010.
The major share of the allocated money is expected to be spent on social projects.
