Remains Of Victim Who Drowned In Australia Laid To Rest
JOHOR BAHRU (Johor, Malaysia) Dec 30 (Bernama) -- The remains of late Muhammad Farhan Na'imullah Zubir, 26, who drowned in Melbourne, Australia, recently was buried at the Bukit Aliff Muslim Cemetery here, Thursday night.
The remains arrived at the cemetery at 7.30pm accompanied by family members, including his father Zubir Ahmad, 53, and his fiancee, Nor Syahirah Abu Bakar, 23, before being buried at 7.50pm.
Earlier, prayers were performed at the family house in Jalan Bilal Mahmood, Kampung Bahru, in Johor Bahru.
Muhammad Farhan Na'imullah, second of seven siblings, and worked as a fruit picker at the Farm Buffalo Orchard, Melbourne, was found drowned while bathing in the Ovens River near his rented house on Dec 13.
His body was found by an Australian rescue team at 8pm after he was swept away by strong currents at 2pm.
