SAR For Ramli Who Went Missing On Mount Damavand Continues
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- The search and rescue (SAR) effort for another Malaysian climber Ramli Abd Majid who went missing on Mount Damavand, Iran on Nov 20, continues with information and photographs of the victim distributed to residents in the area.
Expedition leader Rozaimi Mohd Said said pictures and information on Ramli, 44, would be distributed east and north of the Damavand area.
He said the search and rescue effort would also focused on the South East Ridge and North Ridge routes on the possibility that Ramli could have strayed there.
However, he said the SAR operation would depend on the weather condition, he told Bernama.
On Nov 20, Syed Redzuan Syed Salim Shatri and Ramli were reported missing on the 5,610-metre mountain after they were separated from the other climbers.
A SAR operation found the body of Syed Redzuan, 50, on Nov 28, in the Yakhar Glazier area in a red jacket, black pants and climbing boots.
His body was brought back to Malaysia and buried on Dec 5.
