Saudi Arabia on its National Day: Firmness of Principles, Stability of Positions

Manama, Sept. 23 (BNA): Saudi Arabia is celebrating its National – A grand celebration of the unification of the Kingdom and the building of the modern state with its well-established components. Alongside the Saudis, millions of people are also celebrating, driven by their respect for the high standing the kingdom has achieved thanks to the moderation approach it represents and to its principled stances on all Arab and international issues with word and deed. Saudi Arabia has become a gateway to stability, a source of safety and reassurance, a strategic center of gravity in the region, and a center of absolute trust for all brothers and most friends. Since the establishment of the modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its unification, it has laid the foundations of its rule on the values from which it never deviated. Even when crises and transformations swept the region and the world, Saudi Arabia remained standing, fully stable and not shaken by the fierce tornadoes. This is simply because the kingdom's positions are based on the noble meanings of kindness, integrity, a strong sense of justice and the genuine Arab commitment that is always aware of the requirements and burdens of fraternity through thick and thin. The Kingdom has never deviated from this straight line, and from its principled positions on all Arab and international relations and issues. It has deservedly become the reference and the example for and in the region. Therefore, when Saudi Arabia speaks today with the voice of wisdom and poise, everyone listens in appreciation of the positions and convictions in it. Those who know Saudi Arabia well and are familiar with its policies will not be surprised by its positions because they do know that it has achieved this weight thanks to its sincerity and steadfastness of positions in peace and war. Saudi Arabia's clear and decisive decisions based on values and principles have contributed to its global stature. Riyadh always says what needs to be said, and it says it responsibly and without hesitation. Driven by such a strong policy and firm vision, the Kingdom has entered a new phase of daily achievements and actions with the determination to achieve high levels of development and defend its interests and those of the Arabian Gulf states and the Arab region. Saudi Arabia does all this within an integrated perspective to repel aggression whatever its source and fight aggressors regardless of their sponsors. In this troubled world plagued with unprecedented and intense climate, health, and military crises, anxiety and turmoil, and amid the outbreak of wars, most of the guiding principles, values and laws have turned into hollow slogans outside the logic of peace, partnership and cooperation in their true meaning. In this new turbulent world exhausted by wars, conflicts and crises, very few countries enjoy stability, development and confidence in the future as well. Saudi Arabia today is among those very few countries that God has granted with many blessings, including stability, development, and renewal. Therefore, the kingdom has the right to be proud as it celebrates on its national day what has been accomplished, with wisdom, determination and work, and is optimistic about the future, to enhance its regional and international standing, and to achieve more gains.
