Speaker visits Omani Shura Council

Muscat, Sept. 22 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal commended the advanced and distinguished level of parliamentary cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Oman. She stressed continuous consultations and coordination at regional and international gatherings and common keenness to achieve comprehensive and strategic integration that is inspired from the visions and directives of the leaderships in both countries. This came during a visit by the Speaker of the Council of Representatives and her accompanying delegation today to the headquarters of the Omani Shura Council. She was received by Omani Shura Council Chairman, Khalid Hilal al Maawali. Both sides discussed ways of boosting cooperation regarding issues raised in regional and international parliamentary events. They also reviewed ways of activating the memoranda of understanding signed by the Bahraini Council of Representatives and the Omani Shura Council. For his part, the Omani Shura Council Chairman hailed the visit of the Speaker of the Council of Representatives and her accompanying delegation, lauding growing relations between the two brotherly countries at all levels.
