Sudanese official: Iran plays a key role in regional developments

Tehran, Oct 1, IRNA – A top Sudanese official said here on Monday that the Islamic Republic of Iran plays a pivotal role in regional developments. Talking to IRNA, Director General of the International Cooperation Department at Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Amin Abdollah voiced his country willingness to enhance all-out ties, economic cooperation in particular, with Iran. Citing Iran as a developed country, he said the Islamic Republic enjoys vast potentials for bilateral cooperation. Describing West's approach against Iran's peaceful nuclear program as unacceptable, he said all countries have the right to pursue new technologies. On recent global and regional developments as well as the Islamic Awakening wave in Mideast, the Sudanese official reiterated that Iran, as the current chief of the Non-Aligned Movement, plays a crucial role in leading the regional developments.
